student stories

Kevina

I didn't know what I wanted to do.
I had no idea what I wanted to do or who I wanted to be. University College offered a lot of options while still exploring careers.

I chose Exploratory—Social/Behavioral Sciences.
I've since changed my major, but being an exploratory student helped me make that decision.

Advising
My advisors were the best and were there for me every step of the way.

I researched careers.
UNI 150 was great. It made me actually research careers and figure out what best fits my personality. After taking the class I realized Tourism would be a good fit for me!

I didn't feel so alone.
I realized I wasn't the only kid fresh out of high school that had no clue what they wanted to do.

Life Skills
Do what makes you happy, take advice from family, friends and advisors but follow your heart to happiness.

Friendships
I met a lot of people and made a lot of new friendships.

I chose my major.
I have declared my major Tourism Development and Management. The turning point for me was deciding that I was going to do what made me happy.
