Interdisciplinarity on the Border: Creating, Thinking, and Living New Knowledge

Please join us at the 2007 AIS Conference.

Dear Colleagues,
Please join us for the Association for Integrative Studies’ 29th annual conference. The Interdisciplinary Studies Degree Program at Arizona State University is 12 years old and has become the largest undergraduate major with 2,300 students at one of the nation’s largest campuses. Members of our faculty have participated in AIS conferences for the past five years and we welcome you here to talk about designing and teaching interdisciplinary classes, administering and sustaining interdisciplinary programs, and thinking and writing about interdisciplinarity and integration.

We’re planning an informative and engaging conference. You’ll fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, jump on a free shuttle, and be at the conference hotel in about 10 minutes. You’ll have plenty of time to interact with people from across the country who are also involved in interdisciplinary teaching, writing and research. You’ll be able to bask in the warm days and cool nights and visit local sites such as the Heard Museum, Taliesin West and the Desert Botanical Garden. If you have a couple of extra days, you can venture off to Sedona, the Grand Canyon or Mexico.

We look forward to seeing you in Arizona for the 2007 AIS conference.

Warm regards,
Kelly Nelson
AIS 2007 Conference Coordinator
