This program is designed to guide self exploration and exploration of the academic and career world to help each student find a focus for academic life. Knowledge, skills, and experience important for life-long career success are provided through a range of programs including courses, assessments, workshops, individual career counseling, online tools, partnership with ASU's academic advisors, connections to Alumni and departments across ASU, and tools for reaching the larger community and globally.

The School of Letters and Sciences on the Downtown Phoenix campus offers a liberal arts core curriculum and a university-wide bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies.  The faculty provide foundational instruction in humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences for all students on the Downtown Phoenix campus, and they are invested in the development of integrated, success-oriented coursework for students in the College of Nursing and Healthcare Innovation, College of Public Programs, and Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.  To facilitate the growth of degree programs on the Downtown Phoenix campus, the School of Letters and Sciences will offer baccalaureate degrees in communication and psychology and minors in history, political science, Spanish, and English.  In addition, the school will host select degree programs from the W. P. Carey School of Business, School of Criminology and Criminal Justice, and Teach for America through the College of Teacher Education and Leadership.
